I always wondered what else she might have written. But always thankful that she lived.
On this day in 1817, Jane Austen passed away at 41 years old. After Jane's death, Cassandra Austen wrote, "She was the sun of my life, the gilder of every pleasure, the soother of every sorrow, I had not a thought concealed from her, and it is as if I had lost a part of myself."
I can’t believe this was 20 years ago! It was one of my best friend’s favorites. I didn’t want to see it, so she practically had to drag me, but of course I thought it was great too. I love that it’s tied to memories with her 🖤.
