I asked a few of my kids what they’d remember about me when I left. One of them said “that you love us to pieces.” And right there, I knew I had done my job. 💗

As an educational professional, being a classroom teacher who works their way up to admin shouldn’t be the only visible career pathway in this field. Not all great teachers want to become principals. Where’s the career advancement for them if leadership roles aren't enticing?

Exciting news for Virginia Beach City Public Schools! The School Board of the City of Virginia Beach has appointed Dr. Donald Robertson Jr. as the new superintendent. Dr. Robertson is a native of Hampton Roads and began his career with VBCPS in 1988.
