Moonwords just dropped. Proceed with pleasure. When rhythm meets desire, language turns to Moon Words. 🌒 An Afro-fusion spell of passion, rhythm, and raw energy where every beat whispers temptation and every word moves like silk. This isn’t just a song, it’s an experience.…

What is it that we love about seeing a film in the cinema? I don’t think it can be defined by the dimensions of the screen alone. It’s being in a dark room, free from distractions, with a reasonably comfortable seat... theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

To understand this quote from @tmdmrv's review of Adekunle Gold's Fuji, listen to Fuji Raggae by Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister.

"Siriku “Barrister” Ayinde, the progenitor of Fuji music, blended Were, Sakara, Juju, Apala, Aro, Gudugudu and possibly Highlife to create the sound." zikoko.com/pop/adekunle-g…

Wrote this one in honour of my mother. Had no idea it would become a fan favourite. That's the magic of songwriting, isn't it! Song: Olumuyiwa Album: Olumuyiwa (2023)

The energy here reminds me of Fuji Opera. Ọmọ, come see how Boomers, Millennials, and Gen Z dem dey dance to Fuji. The unity no be small.

The day Saheed Osupa proved himself as the GOAT of Fuji music! 🐐❤️ Ogo’badan.

Blends orógbó and mixed it with Oyin. It works like magic.

What do you use for stubborn coughs? Benylin? Agbo? Hard drugs??? This thing doesnt want to go

Then it should have been F.U.J.I. and not Fuji.

He can name it anything He always said it is an acronym

"Many People" is Tungba but laced in Afro Pop

My argument isn’t asking for a recreation of Fuji styles from the founding years or the 90s. It’s that the music is Afro-pop. The closest to an Owambe music there is Tungba (partially made up of Fuji, but not Fuji).

Fuji has been evolving from time immemorial, but it's still tied to its roots of Were as a communal archive.

Oh, no! No, please! Modernization isn’t inherently bad, but it becomes harmful when it detaches art from its historical and communal memory.

Make better money touch my hand lasan, I will make movies in my Yagba dialect.

Somewhere in okunland , where the beauty of nature truly comes alive. Video credit @Dancrusoe10
