I did the very first #MusicSermon 8 years ago today - but I deleted the thread lol (when I first started getting takedowns I panicked!) HOWEVER, I revisited and expanded it later. The first sermon before #MusicSermon even had a name: We Danced Hard AF in the 90s

Today is #MusicSermon's EIGTH ANNIVERSARY!!! 🎂🍾 It all started with a thread about how we danced hard AF in the 90s (and we'll revisit that this week), so it's only appropriate that for Wk 4 of #BlackMusicSummer, you share the songs that have you put in a whole ass work out!
Another increasingly rare feature in R&B is the monologue. Sometimes artists just had to get the words out plain; singing alone wasn't gonna do it. They needed to emphasize the point! For week 3 of #BlackMusicSummer, share songs where the monologue was the main feature.
