I think it's pretty clear by now that this is intentional framing on the part of more established news outlets. Either they agree with the fascist principles of groups like Moms for Liberty or they wish to pander to them and their supporters, as ABC News is now clearly doing.

No Black person—or any person of color—has ever asked me to feel bad for being white. All I have ever been asked is to simply acknowledge the the challenge of existing in this country as a person or color — which, quite frankly, doesn’t need any convincing.
The whole breadth of our country’s history rests on the subjugation and exploitation of Black bodies. And yet, because that makes us uncomfortable, we are given space to act foolish and pretend otherwise, even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
If this is happening in Boca, things are worse that I thought. We need leaders like you in the state house to help us take our state back from the extremists and to combat the explosion of hatred and antisemitism going completely unchecked in Ron DeSantis’s Florida.
I met a Boca resident tonight who told me her husband recently moved their mezuzah to the inside of their house because of the rise of right wing extremism in Florida. Jews do not feel safe in Florida right now.
One year after our right to bodily autonomy was stripped away, the BYDs took part in a rally and canvass to collect petitions so the right to an abortion can be on the 2024 ballot. There's still work to do so watch our social media for an upcoming opportunity to help.

An irony of the “groomer” bullshit is I understood I was trans at 11 but no one in my life talked about transness so to learn about myself I had to use the internet and found stuff that was VERY not age appropriate. Imagine if I could have learned about it from Sesame Street. /1
