I went to the post office inquiry. It's hard to believe that people inside the post office simply managed to pretend to ignore the problem. Herd mentality and fear of facing up to reality. Easier to ignore the problem and hope it goes away.
Social sciences. Such an interesting subject. People react in such predictable ways. The stuff that you see in say the Post Office scandal, is like a blueprint. You see all the elements of the scandal repeating elsewhere. Thankfully not in the impact of course.
Organisations hide behind policies and procedures that are designed for their own benefit.
Now I have something to say. It's not simply the subject that I want to tell people about, it's the fact that when I tried to tell those in authority about this, they just didn't want to engage.
I used to dread writing at school. Others in my class were so much better than me and I didn't have anything I really wanted to say.
At university I studied stochastic processes. This is not a useful skill in the modern day jobs market. I cannot think of any technology that is almost completely stochastic at its heart.

The problem with the worlds telecom infrastructure for phone calls and SMS is that it's a pile of shit in technology terms. A dumb network that is not designed for the current user base. You can fake caller ids, send text messages with other people's numbers and that's just the…
As someone with Welsh family connections, I'm glad to see this piece of advice from Ofcom. Not sure what Welsh Urls are though. Must be just that the lexicon used for blocking scam messages don't include Welsh? "Providers may also wish to consider the extent to which scam…
