Unpopular opinion: Don't use http verbs PUT, PATCH, DELETE. Just use POST for everything. Reasons: - <form> doesn't support the others. Frameworks that allow it do so through hacks. - URLs are free, you don't gain anything by overloading them. - Purity < practicality

If you're having trouble finding a bug in your Python code, I recommend adding type hints and doing static type checking. It won't help you fix your bug but it will give you a bunch of busywork to distract you from the problem!

This. I’m yet to see a practical use for types in python, always workarounds, always frustration.
We clearly don't have agreement on the costs and benefits of typing of Python code at @getsentry but the amount of time wasted in getting shit typed at Sentry and how ugly it looks afterwards make me mad. And it does not even catch regressions.
Way too much engineering effort is spent on edge conditions that will never occur. Most of us aren't building rockets. It's such a waste of time to solve for what ifs. Write code that fails gracefully, add alerts, and move on with your life.
