Im not a CS Lewis fan. It all feels like propaganda to me. I don’t like things to feel like propaganda even if I might agree with it. Massively overrated and too closely associated with the Twee Catholic counter culture which I also despise.

Leisure is for girls
Seeking Leisure is the most transgressive thing in America. We applaud the man who works long hours to purchase a Japanese toilet with warm water bidet. But foregoing such things in favor of the non-consumptive pleasure of free time is seen as a gross indulgence, even a vice.

One of the things you learn when you use a wood stove is that you should NOT be using an axe to chop your wood. you should be using a maul. an axe is for felling trees. the pronounced wedge of the maul works to SPLIT, not cut, the wood

I tried to wear overalls one time and I just could not get used to the feeling of my pants being held up over my shoulders. It's too weird. Has to be for a totally different kind of guy than me.
