Today, Providence is the least affordable city in America for renters and costs are going up for everyone. Together, we can make Providence a city all our neighbors can afford and where everyone feels welcome. Join our movement: secure.actblue.com/donate/davidmo…
PPSD spends $48K/year on a student with special needs. While 16% of PPSD students get special ed services, Excel serves less than 1%. When 1,000 students shift to Excel, PPSD loses funding but keeps its highest-cost students. That’s not equity—it’s fiscal harm. #SaveCarlLauro
I know everyone is talking about Matt Gaetz but please don't miss this: Georgia fired every single person on its maternal mortality review committee. Why? They didn't like that reporters found out that the state's ban killed two women propublica.org/article/georgi…
Or we can just stick to the original language and prohibit new gas stations from being developed in Providence considering that there are already over 40 across the city. The issue is not that complex. There’s no need for this Amendment.

This is a bad bill in the Rhode Island House of Representatives. This bill comes directly from the judiciary system and this would make it eligible for young people under 18 to be incarcerated for simple possession of cannabis. Right now, it’s only a civil offense for a-
#30DayChartChallenge | April 2024 - Day 5 | Diverging A 📊 Looking at the split of my runs from the last four years before or after 7 AM. Also, only ran six times after noon...I guess I'm more of a morning person. code: github.com/curatedmess/30… #ggplot2 #rstats #dataviz
The #30daychartchallenge Day Four is waffle cats... I mean waffle charts. 😊 After doing a traditional waffle chart yesterday, I was inspired to go more fun today. These really are my cats. And my friend really did point out this insight... and now there's data to back it up.
I might be a tad late to the party but will do my best to actively participate in the #30DayChartChallenge. My goal is to experiment but keep it simple, and to re-discover the joy of data vis. #Day1 - part-to-whole. What makes us whole? Sleep.

I really do love kids. I don’t have kids of my own but I want some one day. The youth of Providence and all across Rhode Island are important to me.

Making one of the most infamous Wall St. tycoons Chancellor is quite a decision from Brown University.
Brown University is again denying media access to campus to report on student activism, this time telling reporters they cannot enter campus to report on a hunger strike.
This bill will receive a lot of criticism, but rent control is needed in Providence and throughout Rhode Island for most people who rent. There are protections and exemptions for homeowners.
