Who cares. Singapore has zero leverage weight. It has some money. Otherwise nothing. Somewhat similar to Australia. Creating blocks opposed to China only hurts themselves.
Singapore was never neutral, Swiss was the same, when they unveil it at sanction to russia.
They train with China too, it doesn't matter. Their business model is also Singapore washing Chinese companies to access Western markets. It cannot fully be in the American camp by cutting off trade with China like the Americans demanded.
There is no need to read too much into this..Singaporeans have been training with the Aussies for a very long time,huge amount of investments by Singaporean business in Aussie economy, there is even the “sun cable” project to supply renewable energy from northern AUS to Singapore
