Hello World!
It's a pleasure to announce the release of open-obfuscator: a free and open-source solution for obfuscating Android and iOS applications (Java/Kotlin, C/C++/Objective-C) romainthomas.fr/post/22-10-ope… obfuscator.re
Playing with LLVM based control flow flattening (heavily inspired by @rh0main's @open_obfuscator), super basic initial demo is running github.com/samrussell/obf… Writeup will come later (and @vector35 based attacks!)
Congratulation to Nuno Silva & Korami for solving the challenge. Scoreboard updated: obfuscator.re/challenges/
Congratulation to @nneonneo for the resolution of the challenge (along with the first place of the @sstic challenge) !
Congratulations to @0xabc0 who is the fourth person to resolve the challenge!
Nice and fun challenge from @open_obfuscator! Finally managed it to solve it. Definitely give it try if you are into android rasp+protection stuff
And there is a third winner who finished the challenge! Well done to Alemdar. So far, the challenge has been (uniquely) downloaded 533 times and 3 people managed to break it. There are still some aspects that have not been uncovered so do not hesitate to give it a try ;)
Congratulations to @Dauntless who is the second participant to find the login/password! His technique is completely different from @HodelAaron so it's great to see the different approachs.
Congratulation to @HodelAaron for being the first one to find the correct login/password in about 2 days! It took far less time than expected and he exploited in a talented way, the weaknesses left in the protection of the application.
It seems that we might already have a winner for the challenge :)
Here is the fixed invitation link: discord.gg/FTk4G9vhTM (The previous one was not supposed to expire)
You can now give a try at this new open-obfuscator challenge specially cooked with dProtect and O-MVLL: obfuscator.re/challenges/ Sponsored by @vector35 @build38dotcom and @eshard .
Here is the Discord server if people want to discuss about open-obfuscator: discord.gg/FTk4G9vhTM
O-MVLL now provides an early support for flattening functions that use C++ exceptions.
The open-obfuscator challenge is coming in less than one month.
So here is the first blog post from @jebdec about unprotecting and breaking dProtect: pnfsoftware.com/blog/reversing…
O-MVLL code completion is now available by installing the omvll PyPI package: $ python -m pip install [--user] omvll
Actually you need to generate a GitHub token to access the public packages
It looks like the Maven package integration with GitHub is broken. I'll look for a fix.
