My beautiful 15 year old daughter has had a mental health crisis and left home. Thankfully she is safe and well at a relative's an hour away, but it has hit me hard and continues to do so. Just found out she plans to stay there for Year 11 too. Broken and helpless.

This makes for worrying reading, especially so for my subject, Business Studies. I guess the flip side means that I, and my fellow Business teachers are likely to be in demand.

Moving scene as England rugby union coach Kevin Sinfield carries his friend Rob Burrow over the Leeds Marathon finishing line having pushed him in a wheelchair for the 26.2 mile course. Burrow suffers from Motor Neurone Disease for which there is no cure.

I haven't read this, and I'm not going to as the views of someone who taught for one year are not useful for someone who has been in classrooms for twenty seven years, but it exists.
