Today would have been David Lynch’s 79th birthday.
I think what’s even more frustrating about David Lynch not being backed for any other films after Inland Empire is he wasn’t a big budget filmmaker. Dune cost $40mill. Everything else was $15mill and below. It’s like… no one could’ve handed him $15mill????

david lynch struggled to get financing for his new film right before he passed. john waters just canned a film for the same reason. our greatest artists are aging and no studios are interested in funding the auteurs whose influence shaped the artform while they’re still with us

I’m so cooked, I literally had a nightmare I showed someone a new song and it was mixed badly and they said “why is it mixed like that” and I said “idk I thought it wasn’t, must be the speaker” and they were like “nah you just gotta be better” 🙃
Yesterday I finally got to see The Wolf House. One of the greatest things I’ve ever seen. So powerful, sad and beautiful. A mood so eerie and uncanny, completely unmatched by anything I’ve seen in a while. This is a testament of the human spirit and made me happy to be alive.
Everytime I get drunk and hear Black Sabbath I’m just like “yeah this is as good as it gets” same with Skinny Puppy
