Twitter is a bit of an extra special dumpster fire right now. But, for my #ruby #rubyonrails or other #tech friends. SOCIAL is a wonderful top-level domain. If you were to check for Ruby under there, there might be something better than a dumpster fire for me to hang around.

When Elon said "bankruptcy is on the table" did he specify if he meant Twitter or Tesla?

That’s why I chose a simple bit of wordplay to point folks to where I will be headed. I’m loving the ways folks are playing with this silly policy. I want to see more fun circumventions. Let’s see poems, riddles, and more to point ways out.

no URLs. no usernames without the URL. no bypassing restrictions on URLs (like writing example dot com). no posting images with usernames in them. free speech!

The particular soap I use comes in round pucks. When one bar gets small enough to be tough to handle I will wet its replacement and press them together. This allows me to use the whole of the old bar as I start a new one.

if you are at all able (or able to learn), i highly recommend: • creating your own website • on your own domain • acquiring copies of your data that you care about that's on third party sites (particularly this one)

My only real use for Twitter now is watching for where people are going from here…

When we, as Christians, become overly focused on ourselves to the neglect of others is where this kind of spectacle can feel off-putting to me. Some churches do well loving others and serving believers, but many struggle with the balance.

Do Christians need this in order to celebrate the birth of Christ? Could we, like, not?

jEdit was my first and Notepad++ was a fast follow.

Which is the first code editor you were ever introduced to? I'll start: It was notepad++

A class, in #Ruby, is a kind of object that describes the behaviors of other kinds of objects.

Here's your #ruby question of the day: Can you explain to me what a Ruby class is in 1–2 sentences? Please RT! #rubyonrails @RubyforGood @wnb_rb @GoRails @phillyrb

The sectarian fracturing of Christianity makes this an ESSENTIAL question to ask of Christian Nationalists. As a Baptist, I don’t want government under the thrall of anyone’s BRAND of Christianity, or the other way around.

Who’s version of Christianity? @William_E_Wolfe @albertmohler version that preserves “Anglo Protestantism.”; views voting Republican or conservative, as the only option for Christians; one that’s incompassionate toward immigrants; one that’s unresponsive to police brutality?

That so many Baptists today are denouncing religious Liberty is something I can’t get my head around. In fact, I’m not sure they should call themselves Baptist.

More than possible. Praiseworthy! Love the Lord, and love your neighbor. Follow Christ where He leads you.

I am 39. I am a Christian. I am intentionally childless. I am living my best life. Yes, this combination is possible.

I need to do better unrolling the domain-specific abbreviations I tolerate in my own code.

I once stared at a piece of code for 15 minutes trying to figure out what "par" meant. Eventually I realized it was "parent". Someone saved 50ms by not typing "ent". The savings was paid for by 15 mins of frustration. Don't abbreviate. Thinking is more expensive than typing.
