An announcement by GoogleCloud's CEO (youtube.com/watch?v=kdq42P…) will further strengthen the PostgreSQL ecosystem. I feel Google's choice of using a PostgreSQL-based database for their cloud database offering is a big leap for PostgreSQL as well. Kudos to all PostgreSQL developers.
