I am a big fan of the saddle shoe. It is a style that is uniquely American. To me it is a casually formal shoe. It is an oxford, so more formal than a derby or loafer. But the two-tone color makes the oxford more casual and sporty evokes Americana

Wearing black for anything other than a funeral or formal event is lazy. I understand all black is easy and convenient. But it is peak, "I don't care." You can't even go for the "disheveled, but cool" look because black on black just looks like a shadow.
