I am pleased to share that my research titled 'The experiences and understanding of psychological distress in the pre- and post-natal period among Sikh Punjabi women living in the UK' is now available to be accessed here: uhra.herts.ac.uk/bitstream/hand…
This Sunday is our first face to face support event and we’d love to have you all there! Let’s break down the barriers let’s normalise the conversations on babyloss and fertility and change the world for the better! Guest speakers, tea, coffee, cake sound good? Come along!
Congratulations @jasdeepcp for this excellent and very needed research, I have spent the last few days going through it. I would recommend anyone in the perinatal field to read this. Future families will benefit from this work.
Fear of judgement. Disengagement with HCPs & fear of speaking openly. This is why we need safe spaces for people to talk & need culturally appropriate support. Thanks for this vital research @jasdeepcp
As my research has now been published, I am looking over the next year to deliver training in respect of the findings. If you feel as if your service, charity or organisation could benefit from this, please do reach out to me.
📣 We are still recruiting! Are you a mother of Punjabi background willing to take part in a study or do you know somebody else who is? We would like to hear from Punjabi mothers that have had any of the experiences listed in the advert. #PunjabiMaternalMentalHealth 👇🏽
