The NYC Landmarks Preservation Committee sent the HOWARD HUGHES Corp "back to the drawing board" today, refusing to accept their "Master Plan" for street lighting, signage, etc. and asking for it to be more "maritime".
You just can’t make this up. If Bill Ackman wants to build a building at 250 Water Street that complies with the Landmark Laws. Fine. This madman thinks he is converting a residential neighborhood to commercial use for his own unjust enrichment. Just like Meatpacking District.
