This is why I rank my company-based data security something like this: 1. Apple 2. Microsoft 3. Amazon 4. Google And why I'd never have a China-based (Anker/Eufy/etc.) smart device in my house, or store my data with such a company.

Most companies are not Uber this morning as a matter of luck, not skill. This could easily have been ~90% of organizations. Don’t point and laugh. It could be you next time, and it might be already.


Now here is an interesting and somewhat scary thought…

Consumer technology has pervasive surveillance not only baked into their products, but also in their business models. I do think it’s possible for essentially anyone, let alone the average person, to not have everything they say and do online tracked. Some exceptions apply.

Theory: email protocol with digital currency support so mail receiving servers may automatically charge a nominal fee to mail sending servers would help solve the spam problem.
