its wild how many games (even AAA ones) have linear volume sliders instead of logarithmic in their audio settings.

wish the goal for AI was - replace work so we can live better lives. Alas it's been- how fast can I replace the enjoyable parts of being human and spend the rest of the time hustling before I die in the street while someone films my death with a anime filter over it.

Interesting to find out that during every radicalized election, every genocide, every riot around the world over the last 10 years, huge tech platforms could have swiftly identified disinformation and malicious propaganda and paused their distribution of it, but they didn't.

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, we’re blocking YouTube channels connected to RT and Sputnik across Europe, effective immediately. It’ll take time for our systems to fully ramp up. Our teams continue to monitor the situation around the clock to take swift action.

I'm back from a week at my mom's house and now I'm getting ads for her toothpaste brand, the brand I've been putting in my mouth for a week. We never talked about this brand or googled it or anything like that. As a privacy tech worker, let me explain why this is happening. 🧵

You might have heard that Conway's Game of Life is Turing complete. But what most people who are familiar with the game don't know, is what that *truly* entails. That it is possible to create Life ...within Life itself. ⠠⠵ youtube.com/watch?v=Kk2MH9…

Spent my evening programming a 'boids' algorithm. Just a few simple locally applied rules which create really natural looking flock movement. #gamedev #programming #boids
