A very rare, original, unopened READ poster from 1980. The same one hung in my local library when I was a kid. I looked at it a thousand times and loved it. I’m going to get it framed and hang it in my daughter’s 1st grade classroom and share the memory with future generations.

It’s fun to be old enough to look back on 90s shock culture and all of its silliness. It was kinda like Beavis and Butthead on heroin. The darkness of humanity hadn’t blossomed online yet. The youth had an element of pre-internet disconnected stupidity that’s hard to imagine now.

Ah, the good ol’ days 🥰

When a dude with an accordion rolls up on a lawnmower, you know it’s about to get real. Steve’n’Seagulls turn “Thunderstruck” into a hoedown and I am here for it.

RIP Buck Rogers ❤️

We can only take this to mean that Gil Gerard, aka Buck Rogers, has passed away.

A lot of the Space Godzilla talk I've seen on the timeline for the last few days is all about his character or how weak some think his debut film is. We're missing a much more nuanced point in all this. He looks fucking cool and is awesome because of it.

I’m tired of being excited for small doses of fun movies/shows… Marvel, DC, From, Arrival, other random stuff… I want a new comic book movie every 3 months and 23 episode seasons of shows dropped for binge watching every September, with mid-season randomness tossed in. Input!

Jerry Garcia bought the film rights to Kurt Vonnegut’s The Sirens Of Titan (my all time fav book) in the 70s. In the 80s he wrote a script with Tom Davis (SNL writer). Vonnegut got the rights back after Jerry died. It’s not online or otherwise available. This was on eBay for $40.

Humanoid robots are hack. We should be making octopus robots that can build things and do hard manual labor, and micro mosquito sized robots that can travel for extended periods and carry a lethal dose of poison or a small explosive. We need an R2-D2 under every Christmas tree.
