We need more social mixing say the party defending tax breaks for private schools, who cut youth services funding by 70%, and who have overseen record rises in absolute child poverty.

I am, like so many of us will have been, conflicted. Between the knowledge that Steve Bray is a clown who has been annoying and intimidating good people for years. And the knowledge that he has now done one of the most objectively funny political trolls of all time.

Undecided Tory MPs, the hard of thinking, Johnson was calling you yesterday from his holiday abroad. That's a holiday abroad when parliament is not on holiday. If he told you - from his holiday - that it would be different this time, this is a big clue. It won't.

The situation is bad enough without this lot cosplaying WW2. They couldnt be more happy.

I remember being very excited going to bed by candlelight in the 1970s. I've been chopping logs today, and am all stocked up on candles. It's the Blitz spirit: Putin must be defeated. telegraph.co.uk/business/2022/…
