Labor shortages are not the problem here, it's corruption along with a broken system that the DoD uses for procurement & acquisition. We have limited ways to hold the contractors feet to the fire. We have enough labor in American Citizens who can weld to have 10 ship yards.

The US should do a trade embargo on Turkey. Not only are they helping Russia, but this kind of behavior against Israel is unacceptable. The Turks can go find somebody else to do trade with if they think this is the proper course of action.

I don't think you have experience in the gov Fabian, but you should try to get some. It's a priority problem, there are far more important things for the MoD to spend funding on. This will come in time though.
It's telling that the German MoD is willing to once again spend up to $5 billion on missile defense interceptors (the final amount will likely be less), but is still unwilling to invest in long-range strike weapon in any meaningful way. Procurement priorities are completely off.
