Pretty much all of my Christmas TV viewing so far this week has been repeats of old shows on BBC Four or nostalgia documentaries on Channel 5. It basically shows that Christmas TV was better years ago than this year! 😕

I’m interested to see what this is like but don’t hold out much hope. Normally double bills meant burning off a show quickly but it also happened with long running series like Waterloo Road this year, so BBC schedules are weird!

A sad day for Blue Peter fans. It has been announced that Biddy Baxter has died at the age of 92. Started at Blue Peter in 1962 and introduced the Blue Peter Badge the next year. She became Editor of the show from 1965 to 1988. Biddy Baxter 1933-2025 tvark.org/blue-peter-2
