Yeah, I cycled with established media for a few weeks before plopping him in there and checked parameters daily. He was recovering from fin rot when I got him (the store was super honest about it but I loved his little face), then he got worse and antibiotics just didn’t help. :/

Not crazy at all! Our betta died last year and we bought a biodegradable fish casket and buried him and I cried my eyes out!! I’m sorry for your loss. 🥰
