it’s a 2 minute radio program, never repeated, broadcast 18 times a week. Bigger audience than Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon … combined. Millions listen, with no need for the information it gives. Just to listen. The BBC Shipping Forecast is 100 years old.

I notice most of the brave hacks, Guido alumni, and Tory mouthpieces, who manufactured a scandal - a dangerous one to national security - out of gossip, supposition, and sticky tape, have gone quiet now the witness statements were released and are exactly as the PM detailed.

Philosophers are, alas, not expensive at all. I think commissioning editors think - incorrectly in my view - that it would be a scarily ‘brave’ decision. I haven’t seen the edit but I do remember concluding with a rousing call for more philosophy on TV. Hope it’s left in.
Sunday night on BBC2. I remember taking notes. Why does modern television not do stuff like this? Guess it must be too expensive.
BBC4 is repeating the 1987 series The Great Philosophers, and I introduce it next Monday 13th at 22.30. I remember being very impressed when it went out that my wonderful PhD supervisor, Myles Burnyeat, was in the first episode!

People should 100% be alarmed‼️
I feel like they are all trying to tell us something. It’s on the tip of my tongue and the bottom of their signs.
The President is currently selling $500 watches on TV.
A food bank lined up with military members who didn’t receive a paycheck this week:
Weird. I was told it’s a war zone.

MTG: I've been in the Capitol, and there are two things I couldn't find this week: I couldn't find anywhere the Epstein files, and I also couldn't find the Republican plan to fix the health insurance industry.
In the 90s - before propaganda campaigns like this and when people thought London was portrayed accurately in movies like 'Four Weddings' and 'Notting Hill' - London's murder rate was double what it is now. It is more dangerous to live in any major city in the US than in London.
Liberal man that voted for Biden and Kamala, says he’s now a Trump supporter after visiting London.. “The crime and immigration is out of control over here, nobody feels safe..” 👀
I called this out on #BBCQT last night and I'm calling it out again now. He is gaslighting a nation.

Alan Patridge is amazed that a scot can speak.
PS Waverley passing under Tower Bridge at night has to rank as one of the best sights (and sounds) in London. Or, for that matter, anywhere in Britain.
Nathan Gill. Nathan Gill. Nathan Gill. Nathan Gill. Nathan Gill. Nathan Gill. A politician of any kind who takes bribes from Russia, but especially a friend and colleague of the man we keep being told will be next PM, should be as well known to this generation as Philby was to…
If Nigel can forget tender moments like this we have to wonder what else he has forgotten … perhaps anyone with a better memory can remind us
