Been teaching my stepdaughter a lot about Britney Spears lately and I think steering her away from Criminal as her fave song might be one of my proudest accomplishments.
Homophobia is indefensible. Happy Pride Month to everyone except the incredibly toxic and homophobic “Christian stepmom” corner of the internet ✌🏻 🏳️🌈
🤔 maybe this is why it took me so long to figure it out.
Compulsory heterosexuality leads young women to interpret the ego-boost of being desired by a man as their own desire. Someone else wanting you sexually can make you feel like a sexual being. It can pose as enough. But desiring someone else sexually is a whole other thing.
If an opportunity doesn’t work for you or isn’t a good fit, please don’t hesitate to recommend someone else or speak others names into rooms they aren’t in. There is enough space for us all. Helping and elevating someone else will never diminish your light.
