We take many things for granted. Even the fact that India is managing a mammoth election exercise and a devastating typhoon ( very few casualties) all at the same time is something very few countries can pull off. So much to be proud of

IPL too. Remember, in 2009 and 2014, IPL had to be moved out of India because Sonia govt said it can't manage elections and IPL at the same time.

Indeed. All at the same time. Wheels within wheels. All moving perfectly.

We take our own resilience for granted. I think that is somehow the reason why narratives get distorted.

I think so too. We also don’t stop to see what has been achieved and how much we have salvaged.

A look back: 2009 IPL coincided with Elections, post a series of blasts. GoI refused security for IPL. BCCI decided to host it in SA. 2014 IPL also clashed with Elections. HM Shinde denied security at the time of elections. First 20 matches held in UAE. This year no such talk.

If it was in Amrika, cyclone at 250kmph would be a national disaster. Every media would have run stories for at least a week. Here life goes on as usual... that’s incredible India!

All this while the logistics of something of the scale of IPL continue unabated. We happily forget that they didn’t happen all of a few years and then take for granted until the next outrage.

No proper media coverage for the extraordinary rehabilitation work carried out in Orissa recently. Biased media scared, PM will get more votes.

Unfortunately in none of the events @INCIndia has any role to play ...so how will you find the paid media houses @BDUTT @sardesairajdeep @ShekharGupta would put this in world forum!!!

Previous Governments failed to provide security for election and IPL but this Government pulled of IPL, Elections, one huge Cyclone and Ramdan is also starting. This tells alot about the level of National Security we are having

Added to that conducting IPL and providing security to the Teams and Spectators across multiple cities is a great achievement.. we should salute our government machinery responsible for this.

Most of election process has been peaceful other than in WB. Goons are fighting for their livelihood

Add IPL as well which was shifted to South Africa for security reason in Congress regime.

But a preventable Pulwama Massacre which cost 44 Precious CRPF Jawans Life is the bloodiest lapse of this Modi Government! Orissa's handling of Fani Cyclone is highly commendable while EC's biased handling of MCC is strongly Condemnable!

How many elections and typhoons have been "managed" by how many diff govts since 1947 and to whom should we give credit?!!!!

Yes Ma'am, we must b proud of our country hvng so much of capacity n capabilities. Mera Bharat Mahan - in the real sense.

And a big tournament IPL is underway

Very Well Said Sunanda, also with countless languages, many religions,we all live peacefully which I really doubt any other country will be able to do it.Over n above u will always see a smile on the common ppl face.

Thnx to CM Naveen Patnaik!

But that state requires lot of help...not only pride! @Naveen_Odisha

In no small measure to the much maligned I.A.S. officers.

Let's not forget IPL was shifted out of country in last two general election.

I second your view . Big kudos for our Non tiring government team

Yes!! No one realises that India gets over disasters everyday.

With great power comes great responsibility ‘

Modi hai to mumkin hai

See the hardwork by this #TMC leader

IPL also played in India only. Sonia Gandhi and MMS askd BCCI to play in South Africa in 2009 and 2014. This time, our Modiji is great. #modiagain #modiagainsaysindia
