Not a review of Baramulla: For years I wondered what would be the best genre to tell our story on screen most effectively. What should be the cinematic language that can be used to show a continual Genocide on screen? What can be both subtle and effective? What can be both…
Wow!!! How wonderfully put didi ! Orzu and cheer naalmots! ❤️❤️
Please do watch it. It is an extraordinary film.
Watched it after reading ur post. Loved it. Indirect way of story telling is definitely makes a much greater impact than making an overtly hard political point. Amazingly done... @bhashasumbli 🙏🙏
Beautifully written Sunanda. Straight from the heart and piercing.
On my list to watch. Will make my daughter watch it too.
So habituated are we seeing jeh@dist crimes whitewashed and gen0c1ders shown as victims in woke Netflix content that the moment the name Baramulla first popped up on my feed, my mind automatically decided to ignore it thinking it was another such crap. Will be watching it soon.
If we can convince likes of @sardesairajdeep , @BDUTT we may save future Migration and destruction of Hindus from Muslim majority areas of India
Had totally de activated netflix post it's woke content n anti indian content . Will activate n watch this movie n hope that the netflix guys have improved upon their habits n don't go again on the woke liberal lines which led them to showcase movies of tapsee bhaskar gang
It is a well made movie and depicts the horror meted out to the pandits in a subtle way. Loved it. It is time we take back art from the left.
Tuned out Hindu atrocity literature/art/movies etc. these days. Too much to bear. Just take solace in the morbid metric that there are a lot more 'slim deaths in Kashmir, & Pakistan, & Bangladesh, & Laksadweep & Maldives than Hindu deaths nowadays.🙏 x.com/sunandavashish…

The music shiv Shankara when @bhashasumbli opened the door , I got goosebumps. The horror of the families were in front of my eyes . Kudos to the entire team ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The movie overwhelmed me completely with emotion, and, although I am not a Pandit, it almost felt as if this happened in your extended family. I shudder at the very thought of losing your ancestral land & home!
Isn't she the same actress who worked in The kashmir files ??
#Baramulla is not just a movie it’s a masterpiece. From kidnapping suspense to paranormal horror and ending with painful truth of the past, every frame keeps you captivated. The final truth hits very hard. Powerful performances and storytelling making it unforgettable. Good work
This post reads less like film criticism and more like ideological sermon. It flattens a complex historical tragedy into a rigid moral cartoon: one community forever sainted, another forever demonised. That is not truth-seeking — it is propaganda. Let me tell you why:
It was dark, gloomy and scary at first, but the last few minutes when it all unwound, it was emotional & teary! The gov of that period failed the pandits miserably!
From a bright & colourful to the black & dreary the landscape of Kashmir has been blighted by Islam. Reclaiming of our culture will never be complete till Kashmir is rid of this pestilence.
Watched it yesterday.. could actually visualise what people went thru the pain agony deceit and wounds forever. Had literally tears rolling down. A reality well shown. A must watch for today's generation who do not know the horrors of kashmir 🥹
What a beautiful review of a beautiful movie. Words has just flowed.
I'm as impressed by baramulla as I was disappointed with shikara.
Though baramulla used to appear, I used to just scroll across as this might be another story. After reading this definitely I am going to watch baramulla tomorrow.
Very nicely written to explain the dark horror of the film thro the voice of the Pandits 🙏🙏
Your problem is recent memory bias. Maybe there should be a horror movie made on King Harsha who plundered temples!
Great. However no mention of our koshur boi AD who is a co-writer ?
Watched #Baramulla Beautifully crafted movie with lots of facts and emotions. Facts remains as facts.
But the main culprit/sìnner who ignored the verry initial signals that were pointing towards happening of this holocaust was himself a Kashmiri Pandit. The tragedy is that the family and the party to which he belongs have no regrets.
Worth watching? Not appeasement/pseudosec movie?
