Does this envisaged hybrid onsite/remote model really work? Doesn't it massively increase search and coordination costs? Wouldn't a remote-only model with occasional team gatherings (offsites) work better? #stuckinthemiddle @photomatt @automattic
@BCG's "[...] findings suggest that the future of work will be increasingly hybrid." That is a model where employees will work some days onsite (in the office) and some days from home (or from anywhere). bcg.com/en-ch/publicat…
Work needs to be broken down into rigorously defined components that can be easily handed over to outsiders. "Most companies haven’t focused on this, because in traditional workplaces, managers can afford to be vague when making assignments." hbr.org/2020/11/rethin…
I wholeheartedly believe in a renaissance of creative human labor. With machines taking over routine work, what’s left for us humans is creative problem solving in heterogeneous teams. A bright future for humanity!

Your Capabilities Need a Strategy
A one-size-fits-all approach to strategy doesn’t work. Use games and neuroscience theories to assess, develop, and deploy the skills each business environment requires.
Building great teams is a lottery. There are over 2 million possible solutions to forming a team of five from a population of 50 people. Not all of those 2 million solutions will perform equally well, and a random selection will produce mediocre results. #moneyball #superscript
