I feel like I've done nothing bit pivot since 2020. Every year is different- no group comes in at the same place. Constant curriculum modifications to fit where kids are. It is getting slightly better, I think, but it's exhausting!
Words for how I'm feeling.
I’m struggling with when and how to find time to teach myself and my team how to be an effective teacher whose methods are research-based and differentiated. I can see the ways I’m falling short but I also don’t have the resources to improve and help isn’t coming.

My literacy loving heart was BURSTING when my son sat down like this today and said "scoot up and scoot in" like his teacher does and started teaching phonemic awareness lessons (@HeggertyPA). 💙 #lex1literacy
Spent the day being a mom with a baby not feeling well. She's been bringing me books for the last 15 minutes and my heart can't stand it. (@DanWuori got those early literacy skills rocking.)
Thankful for @debradele making our afternoon SO FUN and helping us build community while problem solving and working together. I love trying to build joy into our days! Lots of smiles and only a few frustrated times.

Made it over an hour getting some work in with a 5 yr old and (almost) one year old. I'll take it.
It's pretty fun being the middle of your teaching career. You're young enough to still have street cred with the young teachers, but seasoned enough to not get looked down on by the veteran ones.
