Barriers to neurodivergent children & young people accessing support includes disjointed support pathways & communication between service providers; lack of staff training &/or confidence; risks or negative effects from transitioning between services; under-funding of services

Some evidence suggests neurodivergent conditions, such as autism, are being identified more in the UK. Our new POSTnote considers support for neurodivergent children and young people in healthcare and education in England, and barriers to accessing support:post.parliament.uk/research-brief…

1. #Passion. I worked really hard to get myself into a job I feel really passionate about, which includes my key interests - before I worked in #Neurodiversity and #trauma I had way less enjoyment in my job and often felt lost or bored.

#MySLTday there was a "Neurodiversity Questionnaire" sent around to staff today to "capture staff experience of #Neurodiversity in the #workplace". As a member of the team with #ADHD I think I'll share some of my experiences (good and bad) of being in a primarily NT team...
