This was such a great project led by the hard-working PhD student @fatima1amin and @syncrostone from Gerber and Litwin-Kumar labs and further collab with @ikadow, @OwaldD, @SalilBidaye labs. We demonstrate circuit mechanisms for action🏃‍♀️--> ☹️valence relationships in Drosophila!

🚨🚨My PhD work pre-print🚨🚨 Check it out 👇👇 'Avoidance engages dopaminergic punishment in Drosophila' It's a great collaborative enterprise and can't thank enough to my mentors and collaborators for the kindest efforts...fingers crossed 🤞🤞

Exciting postdoc position between the labs of @lengyel_m + @GJEHennequin (Cambridge U) and @DMWolpert (Columbia U) to study the neural network mechanisms of context-dependent (continual) motor learning. Máté and I will be at Cosyne, come talk to us! jobs.cam.ac.uk/job/44808/

Thank you for this spotlight! @ZuckermanBrain

Recently wrote an introduction to reinforcement learning for neuroscience that I just put on arXiv for those who might find it useful: arxiv.org/abs/2311.07315 It also includes a Google Colab with all the code: tinyurl.com/4wypnc5d

Very excited to share our recent work w/ @kao_calvin & @GJEHennequin! We investigated when & why motor preparation arises in RNN models of motor control. Is preparation optimal for RNNs performing delayed reaching tasks? Spoiler: it is! (1/5) biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
