tO cLaRiFy, however!! I am not opposed to busting out some websites and apps as a side hustle, lol.
I need to get back into coding. Not sure if I want to pursue it as a career anymore, but it's a fun hobby and there's nothing as exhilarating as solving a problem.
Day 24 #100daysofcode: finished day 17 of #javascript30 (array.sort method). Figured out how to delete tasks on my to-do app. I'm close to being finished -- just need to persist the state thru localStorage next. And maybe play around with the CSS! #WomenWhoCode #javascript
Day 23 #100DaysofCode: Not much progress today. Having issues getting the delete button on my to do list tasks to work. Back to the drawing board tomorrow... #WomenWhoCode
A few CSS questions I was asked at a recent frontend interview: - Name several ways to center an object - What are the box model properties from the outside in? - What would use to animate an object?
Day 22 #100DaysOfCode: did day 16 #javascript30. Added a little #javascript to my To-Do List app. --random #InspirationalQuotes appear when window loads --tasks are visible and stylized --alert fires when no task is entered Had lots of fun w/ vanilla JS today! #WomenWhoCode
Day 21 #100DaysOfCode: Created the bones of my next project, a to-do list written with vanilla JavaScript.
A thought provoking article from one of my favorite authors, Cal Newport. I'm in my sixth year of teaching and now make a point to not check my work email at night. Work/life balance is important for me; I can't be a good educator if I'm burnt out and miserable.
In an attempt to work more effectively, we’ve accidentally deployed an inhumane way to collaborate. nyer.cm/ecm1uW0
Y'all, I just got approved for my first tech job!!! It's not full time, so I'll still be teaching. But it's still great experience and will be valuable to develop my skills/resume. I'm super excited. #WomenWhoCode #success
Day 20 #100DaysOfCode: Finished day 15 #javascript30, learned about using localStorage to persist data as well as event delegation. I'd like to try that in my to-do app, coming up next. Did my first pull request on an open source project! #WomenWhoCode #opensource

Day 19 #100DaysOfCode, pt. 2: Finished 1/2 of day 15 #javascript30. Will finish the rest tomorrow. These are the JavaScript projects I want to work on during the rest of July: open source project contribution, to-do list, Pomodoro timer. Consistency is key. #WomenWhoCode
Day 19 #100DaysOfCode, pt. 1: I'm closing the books on my Picture Transformer App for now. I changed the color to something a little more palatable and fiddled with margins for better alignment. Next up: contribute to an open source project. #WomenWhoCode
Sad news from my hometown team :(
It’s with a very heavy heart that we share the news that goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks passed away last night at the age of 24. We are heartbroken. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, Kivi. cbj.co/3ys3BLI
Day #18: The color scheme needs some work (🤢), and there's something strange going on with the upload div. HOWEVER, it's responsive! Right, that's it for today, it's time to eat lemon bars. #WomenWhoCode
Day18 #100DaysOfCode: Completed day 14 of #javascript30 (references v copies). Fiddled with picture transformer app: adjusting CSS solved the wonky rotate animation. Creating download button that saves transformed image to user's device is still a problem unsolved #WomenWhoCode
Consistency is key. Your skills as a software developer aren't formed by grinding for 16 hours once or twice. They are formed by applying what you learn consistently, for 5, 15, 30 minutes, or one to two hours regularly.
Day 17 #100DaysOfCode continued: It's clear that I need a refresher, especially with anything involving DOM. This is a great cheat sheet! Will be reviewing it tomorrow, along with finishing up my picture transformer app. ilovecoding.org/blog/js-cheats… #javascript #WomenWhoCode
Day 17 #100DaysOfCode: I had a fitness class and spent way too long cooking something that I wound up burning (😫), so I was pretty tired and this was a short sesh. Completed day 13 of #javascript30 and learned how to trigger a slide in on scroll animation effect. #WomenWhoCode
