Oh do one you imbecile

Keir Starmer thinks that the education system’s number one priority should be speaking lessons This is borderline insulting Kids like me who grew up in Knowsley know what education under Labour means -they have failed children time and time again and continue to do so in Wales

This is nonsense.. as if you don’t tell your staff.. hey guys happy Monday oh by the way…

I appreciate the issue in general, but it is only the HT that knows on the Friday. Technically the staff don't need to.

Wow… and you’re a CEO…

See you’re a recent double RI as well; beginning to make sense.

How the hell can any serving head and inspector go out on inspection after this..

Our local primary Head took her own life after an Ofsted visit. There are many things that make my blood boil about the education system, but this is just heartbreakingly awful. Something has to change. bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod…

Didn’t say that. I’d imagine you’d also consider that those in other unions wanted to strike but can’t and most heads will know who aren’t NEU. It’s not hard to work out.

None of ours have told the head anything, and he's made it clear he isn't going to ask. The purpose of this action is to cause disruption, not to pit one union against the other

Obviously key is the narrative of the letter. Inform parents but show support as well.

I read this and thought about the tension when trying to support staff and just not attract criticism?

What the eff is she on about?

She's...what?...eh

Hey @ofsted if you inspect any schools during this upcoming heatwave on the last week of term you should be taken down for human rights violations...

We're happy to have worked with the ICO to encourage better sharing of information to protect children ico.org.uk/for-organisati…

100% too many school leaders look at PE and Sport as an add on. It's as important as maths and English.

'The sizeable investment has not translated into an increase in the confidence, knowledge and skills of primary staff in teaching PE and sport' - writes @LondonSport's Gary Palmer schoolsweek.co.uk/more-investmen…

Is 6 percent a slump?

The proportion of 11-year-olds in England hitting expected standards in reading, writing and maths has slumped following the Covid pandemic inews.co.uk/news/education… #Sats @theipaper

Hey @educationgovuk you know it's 2022.. my spectrum 48k was like usain bolt in comparison #Sats

Oops

Britain's strictest Head teacher @Miss_Snuffy has a fake Churchill quote on her school wall. Nowhere in the canon of Churchill's writing or speeches did he say this. Suggest you get some paint.

Because it's something we've been doing....forever.

A pledge backed with no funding. How’s that one going to work?

Not sure the main focus should be about what suits parents tbh..

Not so sure they have a good reason for closing early as you are. I’ll be very happy to see this put in place since it’ll extend the secondary school day for my own kids. The creep of 2:45 and 3pm ends isn’t helpful.

Also we have a huge secondary school that used to finish the exact time as us and now as we finish earlier the area is calmer and safer..

Yes they could open earlier and chuck the kids out at 2:45, but time in school will be regulated, as it should be.

Our school starts at 8.40 finishes at 3pm. We have the required teaching time (more in fact) in class and provide more sporting and physical activities than any school I know. Should we be regulated. We run breakfast club from 7.30am and after school provision till 5.15pm

Same we start a bit earlier and finish earlier (lunch is 45 mins as we split by KS). We actually have more teaching time this way? We do it because it makes the local area less congested as well (2 other schools v close by)

We have 31.25 hours in school but have 5 1 hour lessons like lots of schools do...
