Had the absolute pleasure of students in my classroom today. Granted there were just a few. But such a fantastic reminder of why I love being a teacher.

This is why I changed plans for today. Students shared emotional reactions to yesterday’s events such as confusion, anger, & fear.
On 9/11, I was in the 5th grade. I do not remember any lessons from the day before or the day after. What I do remember, however, is my teacher stopping *everything* to talk with us and let us talk about the world around us.
