On the bright side, the ocean wave that caught me off guard let me test and verify that Tilley sun hats do indeed float (even in the ocean). Unfortunate for me, my Maui Jim sunglasses did not float. While lost to the Atlantic, my Maui Jim’s did give me a good 7 years of service.
