6 years of unrelenting government attacks on our freedom to be our own bosses, condensed into a 5-minute speech and these 2 key sentences: "This is not targeting employee misclassification. This is weaponizing regulatory language to attack independent contractors."

Today, I was frustrated that Governor Murphy’s Labor Department failed to rescind its proposed independent contractor rule that faces 99% public opposition from people of all backgrounds. This opposition includes public comments written in Spanish.

Today, I was proud to witness an agreement between the @NJLaborDept and the Consulate of Mexico – ensuring Mexican American workers in New Jersey have the protections and resources they deserve. 🇲🇽 🇺🇸

New Jersey's Legislature is now trying to exempt only a handful of professions from bad independent-contractor policy After members of the California Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights explicitly warned other states not to politicize the exemption process

Thank you Senator Gordon Johnson for introducing S4839 clarifying independent contractor status for certain licensed and regulated professionals, and affirms the existing FUTA exemption for the owner-operator truckers who play an essential role in keeping the supply chain moving…

"Vets on Roo earn nearly twice as much per hour as the average full-time vet, and on average make $1,266 per day, the company says." cnbc.com/2025/11/05/vet…

They said: We only want to stop a few bad companies that are are misclassifying employees as independent contractors. We only want to stop the bad actors. We said: But this regulatory language is being weaponized to attack all kinds of happy, thriving independent contractors.…

Karl Rove in today's Wall Street Journal: "Explaining why a Democrat’s policies will raise costs or hurt jobs and offering a constructive, forward-looking agenda is a much better approach." Me at the U.S. Senate in July, about California's independent-contractor policy: "The…

This is how we move forward.

New from me: Americans are divided on a lot, but not on the desire to be our own bosses—or on the need for both political parties to protect that freedom. I see a bipartisan way to fix independent-contractor policy. We need one thing to happen next. freelancebusting.com/p/a-way-to-mov…

Things that have not changed: ➡️ Most Americans would prefer to be our own bosses (Gallup) ➡️ Most independent contractors prefer to remain ICs (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics) ➡️ Both political parties' own voters say they're failing us all in this policy area

California needs to start campaigning for @KevinKileyCA NOW.

Ok Sacramento area musical chairs with Prop 50’s passage: Rep. Ami Bera (currently CA-6) will run for CA-3 against incumbent Rep. Kevin Kiley. Dr. Richard Pan (who was going to run for CA-3) is now running for CA-6.

A lot of people asking me how on earth we are going to stop the freelance busting in New Jersey now. I honestly do not know. But I congratulate Governor-elect @MikieSherrill and continue to believe that our freedom to earn a living should not be a partisan issue. 🇺🇸

New from me: It's Election Day in New Jersey, and independent-contractor policy is on the ballot. Our freedom to earn a living should not be a partisan issue, but at the top of the ticket, only one candidate clearly has our backs: Jack Ciattarelli. freelancebusting.com/p/go-vote

Dear NJ-11, We voted him out in the NJ-07 for good reason. Still super happy with that decision years later. Sincerely, The NJ-07

News: @Malinowski filed FEC paperwork tonight to run for Mikie Sherrill’s NJ-11 House seat, the first step in the former NJ-7 congressman’s long-anticipated (and still hypothetical for now) comeback campaign. newjerseyglobe.com/congress/malin…

Thanks @RideshareRodeo for having me on to talk New Jersey and independent contractors! As I said live, I'm grateful to Dems who are trying to help us. I wish both governor candidates were too. But only @Jack4NJ clearly has our backs as ICs. Vote! 🇺🇸 youtube.com/live/_wGjsEHAu…

Vote No on 50 in California because this redistricting plan directly targets @KevinKileyCA He is the biggest champion that independent contractors have in the entire U.S. Congress

There is still time to vote NO on 50. Polls close at 8 PM tomorrow. Vote NO because voters, not politicians, should choose the destiny of our state. Vote NO because each and every citizen deserves fair representation. Vote NO because California is worth fighting for.

More people have now seen this post than were at the Obama event for Mikie Sherrill.

Stunned to read in various New Jersey press that the event Mikie Sherrill held with Barack Obama drew fewer attendees than my total followers on this handle alone. All of us independent contractors are talking about what @Jack4NJ said this weekend: freelancebusting.com/p/this-rule-wi…
