Hi Peter, I am sorry to hear this. If we are aware in advance that a service will have limited catering we do put this on our homepage of our website. Unfortunately there may be times that there is an issue last minute meaning we are not able to make passengers aware. ^JB

@SteveWhiteRail All SE do is get old rotten cast off rolling stock from Southern and rebrand! Why is Southern getting rid of their stock and SE are quick to buy or rent what ever the deal is with purchasing!
Of course @Se_Railway if you actually invested in new rolling stock for the Hastings line maybe this wouldn’t happen. But you won’t and don’t and therefore the misery line has unreliable old trains. You can sort this if you had the will.

And of course, schools have to pay staff, usually hourly rate TAs to be on duty - so not free to the schools budgets either
Labour are bragging how they are providing free school breakfasts. Firstly it’s not free because taxpayers are paying for it & secondly a bowl of cereal or a piece of toast takes a matter of minutes to prepare & costs a minimal amount so no excuse not to feed your own child.…
