I pray for all those affected by the attack in Manchester. In a world where there is still Jew hatred and ignorance in so many Christian churches, I pray for enlightenment and solidarity.
The Labour government announcement recognising a state for terrorists is disgusting. Know that plenty of people here are against this and have not voted for those responsible. Praying for the peace of Jerusalem this afternoon as per Psalm 122.
I thought I had heard of Addameer before when the US sanctioned it. I had: the Anglican church complained when its premises embedded within a church in Ramallah were raided in 2022.
There are no retractions of false or misleading statements: e.g. "500 people died in an IDF strike on Al-Ahli" which later turned out to be 50 in the car park struck by a terrorist misfire.
There may well be some amplification of Diocese of Jerusalem statements about Al-Ahli Hospital and how much people suffer in the "occupied" territories. Its own last press releases talked about "captives" as though child hostages and convicted terrorists were equivalent.
My denomination doesn't seem to have issued a press release yet - I would predict something along the lines of "both sides... ceasefire... de-escalation... blah blah"

Happy St Julian of Norwich Day! (Is there a Christian introvert anywhere whom she has not cheered up at some time?)
My church visits a nursing home once a month and we have more and more coming to our services. Also met a lovely new staff member and feel confident people are well looked after (and it doesn't smell of cabbage, or worse).
I'm physically tired from getting a lot done these past few days but also very hopeful. Sometimes you have to pace yourself when you have a long term condition.
