It’s always lovely to see the application of new learning into our own play, and that’s what happened this afternoon in Reception. Fresh from working on balance on benches and apparatus in PE this morning, some children set up their own equipment and refined their skills 🤸‍♀️

We finally got to find out the identify of the monster from our English book! We say monster…turns out it was Charlie and Eddie’s brother Marcus! We also found out he loves breakfast. So obviously we drew and made models for him of what our favourite breakfasts are 🥓 🍳 🥯 🥐

Yesterday in Reception maths we made shape towers using 3D shapes that either rolled or stacked. We talked about flat and round sides and pointy corners.

This morning in English we mixed phonics with learning. The characters in the story ended up visiting a bubbly lake and some of the bubbles were in our classroom! We had to spot the sounds and even made some words. Great work 😁
