I am paraphrasing, but I remember David Pearce said something like: Other things being equal, people that love life wants to preserve life. We need to get to the genetic root of what makes humans destroy a civilization, and then virtually abolish existential risk.

The number of self-reported LGBT people in general will increase worldwide as stigmatization diminishes. Official figures always undercount. Sex & gender are evolutionary relics we’d do well to outgrow. Until then, let’s avoid transphobia and respect everyone’s gender identity.
