Finnish data show that when women date their male managers, earnings rise about 6 percent within two years. After breakups, income falls about 18 percent and job loss becomes more likely. Office romances can bring short term gains but create steep career penalties when they end.
NSFG data found 54 percent of U.S. women 15 to 49 used contraception. Use rose with age, from 25 percent of teens to 65 percent of women 40 to 49. White women and college educated women used methods more often. Top choices were sterilization, pills, IUDs or implants, and condoms.
