🚨 Major active supply chain attack just hit npm. Popular package @ctrl/tinycolor was trojanized — and it didn’t stop there. Over 40 packages were silently modified to steal secrets from dev machines & CI pipelines. Our team at Socket caught it. Full report coming soon. Stay…

There's a ticking timebomb in UK offshore wind: massive decommissioning costs that aren't properly funded. Like in "The Big Short," a forensic look reveals developers might be ignoring guidelines, potentially leaving taxpayers on the hook. A thread 🧵 (1/18)

Today we're releasing Claude Opus 4.1, an upgrade to Claude Opus 4 on agentic tasks, real-world coding, and reasoning.

I’ve been trying out Claude Opus 4.1 and it’s noticeably better than Opus 4 from what I can see. Better at organising itself and producing fewer bugs.

If you use "AI agents" (LLMs that call tools) you need to be aware of the Lethal Trifecta Any time you combine access to private data with exposure to untrusted content and the ability to externally communicate an attacker can trick the system into stealing your data!

Yes, I'm one of those engineers posting the Claude Code usage. $6k. agents running parallel. 10 PRs in a day, refactored, and deployed. I get why it annoys you. Another viral "look at my AI spend" post. More hype, more noise. But here's what you're missing while you're rolling…

I think it’s safe to say the new iOS design has not gone down well. There’ll be another wave of outrage in September when it rolls out to regular users. This can’t be good for Apple. Short $AAPL.

I wonder if in retrospect this will have been the biggest news of February 2025, rather than any of the political controversies most people are exercised about. History often turns out like that.

Huge cancer breakthrough! mRNA vaccine (similar to COVID vaccine tech) shows stunning results against pancreatic cancer! 75% of responsive patients STILL cancer-free at 3 yr, normally 80% recur. Could revolutionize treatment for one of deadliest cancers! Funded in part by @NIH
