A very wet weekend saw teams across the country collecting vital high flow data. Cornwall team were out both days and captured peak data at Bolingey gauging station. This ensures accurate live data streams constantly into incident rooms which is used to issue flood warnings.

Out at the beautiful Werrington Park gauging this morning. Our topographical surveyors are checking all levels are correct to ensure our data is A1. Shame it feels like the start of summer when it is soon to end!
Rainy summer days but no stopping @DCfieldteamsEA as they overhaul another @HydrometryEA real time raingauge. You can see the temporary Pelicase setup that kept the dataset flowing while the overhaul took place. Great to have another one back in fine fettle!
Ending the week on a high with excellent news from the wilds of Exmoor! Gauge thoroughly overhauled by NIVUS UK with new microrenewables, measurement sensors and telemetry housing. Thanks to all involved for getting this vital improvement completed
Real time Raingauges are vital for EA operational response. We use them for Flood Warning and Water Quality investigations. @HydrometryEA Assets age and need relifing, so pleased to report that @DCfieldteamsEA have recently overhauled this gauge. Thanks so much!
A bit of remote boat action at Polson In Cornwall area during an ADCP training session with one of our suppliers🚤 Deploying ADCP devices in remote boats enables us to capture critical flow data in all conditions in places that are inaccessible on foot. #Hydrometry @envagencySW

Progressing nicely! Refurb of a cabinet housing our flood warning gauge at Canworthy Water ⚠️ The ever brilliant @DCfieldteamsEA problem solving to bring the cabinet up to the grade for a mains power install. All ways round this will increase site resilience. Bravo them!
Best bit of the job -meet @DCfieldteamsEA beginning refurbish of Trewoon raingauge First part is to remove! Every single fence post was rotten at ground level. Whilst it looks like ground Zero now all will be well soon- updates to follow as the new gauge emerges

A bit like the Snow Queen in Narnia- apparently it was -8 on site this morning 🥶 ❄️. However @DCfieldteamsEA have prevailed and got the new raingauge cabinet in making a massive improvement. More peripheral work to come, but the gauge can be reinstated now ! Top Job!
