I am so happy and proud to have been a part of this historic effort! California is now one of the nation’s leaders in bringing scientists, governments, Tribes, non-profits, and community members to explicitly partner with #beavers for climate change and wildfire risk reduction.
For the first time in nearly 75 years, CDFW released beavers into the wild in cooperation with local tribes. The new family group of beavers joins a single resident beaver with the ultimate objective of re-establishing a strong population. youtube.com/watch?v=yPovmQ…
