Thinking of lightning node channels, fees, P&L in dollar terms is a massive cognitive load that fluctuates too much. Just think in terms of sats. That’s all that matters.

I really like the notion of being able to route 1 sat transactions, but I'm finding the 3-10 sat rebalancing to be a database/network spam attack 🙁 -- spam should have a cost, so either minimum HTLC has to be higher or Zero Base Fee can't be used to avoid this kind of attack.

What happens to the lightning network when the next bitcoin hard fork happens? If node runners maintain their on-chain multisigs and run a node on the second network, it should result in an extra dividend in the form of a secondary spinoff lighting network for the forked chain.

LND shipped P2TR channels in 0.17 which means 64 byte signatures instead of ~73, single MuSig2 sigs instead of 2 for both parties, top level pubkeys instead of hash plus both keys, leaf script reveal instead of entire script. They are still private only, but public is coming soon
