A1 Technology gives our students a choice in how they show their learning (videos, posters, infographics). They have a choice of what and how they inquire into. It also gives them voice to make a difference by connecting with others, having an input through surveys #ADEinquiry

A2 Kids school days are extremely micromanage. The schedule of the year, week, day, hour. Moving around from classroom to classroom by the bell in clothes others have decided for them. Eating when allowed. Asking permission before a pee. No wonder some don’t thrive. #ADEinquiry

Yes! Maybe your students don’t want to learn in hessian classrooms with leaves everywhere to “keep them calm”.... maybe they would like their environment to be exciting, noisy, flexible? Teachers are not interior designers. #ADEinquiry

Conferencing is responsive teaching - differentiated and “just in time” and not “just in case”. Guided inquiries into exemplar texts also is inquiry! “Languages of Expression” is this language based or does it incorporate visual arts? #adeinquiry


This is beautiful - thinking about bringing this approach into older grades - we do Reading and Writing Workshop which I’ll be honest, I’ve had a tumultuous relationship with. After listening to @Mrs_Gilchrist recently though, mini lessons are provocations #adeinquiry


We are observing, documenting, and questioning to drive our own learning and understanding about our students further. We don’t want to teach students something they can learn themselves, so we set out provocations to empower them to make their own discoveries. #ADEinquiry
