Would that make the #AF66 engine failure a “Super Mayday”? On September 30, 2017, an Air France Airbus A380 suffered a similar incident. A380s use super instead of heavy.
Apparently a major network heard "United 328 heavy, mayday" and said they declared a "heavy mayday." "Heavy" is appended to callsigns of aircraft with a takeoff weight of 300,000 lbs or more to increase situational awareness about wake turbulence. Heavy mayday = not a thing.
Air France has just confirmed to us that F-HPJE is indeed operating on 4 engines back to Paris. Appears the aircraft was able to be repaired to a state where a 3-engine ferry was not necessary. flightradar24.com/AFR371V/fc069bb #AF66
