I had privilege of speaking about @walkwithadoc to medical students, residents, and physicians at the Canadian Conference on Physican Health. A sincere thank you to @CMA_Docs for the invitation and I had a blast leading the group for a walk to Mount Royal!#CCPH2023 #ClimateAction
Does diversifying your practice in #familymedicine reduce burnout? 1) Clinicians w/diverse non-clinical (teaching, admin etc) roles had lower emotional exhaustion 2) 20-30hrs clinical hrs & 10-20 hrs non clinical roles = sweet spot 3) Solution isn’t just to work less #CCPH2023
End of day 1 of #CCPH2023 - great discussions on: 1) The 18MM hours of physician time spent on administrative tasks 2) Developing compassionate leaders- how do we care w/o losing ourselves? 3) Provincial policies on getting rid of sick notes, reducing number of pgs on forms
